I LOVE IT!!!Jan 09 '00 (Updated Jan 17 '00) Write an essay on this topic.I discovered this jewel of a site quite by accident. I got an invitation to join from a survey site called Harris Poll. I don't even remember signing up for Harris Poll surveys. But I sign up for many things on-line and forget most of them. I almost forgot about Epinions.com too. I am so glad I did not!! Some of the reasons I love this place? Well, first of all, YOU MAKE EASY MONEY!!!! I mean, how hard is it to write about things you feel a passion for? Second of all, this site is informative. I have sat in front of the computer for hours just reading reviews and I have learned quite a few things. I have not written many reviews because I feel that I cannot come across right if I don't really LOVE or HATE something, ya know? Okay, here is the downside: I find it is really annoying to read reviews where there are spelling errors!!!! I was saying that I do not recommend an opinion if the spelling (or other things of the like) was wrong and I would post a comment saying that if they corrected their spelling, I would change the opinion of my review. Well, all that got me was the person reading my reviews and saying they don't recommend them. Now I just read a review and if I find more than 2 or 3 spelling errors, I just stop reading them. Oh and it's not just spelling errors, there is punctuation and knowing when to use capital letters (at the beginning of sentences). I KNOW I am not perfect, far from it! But I try to proof-read my reviews AT LEAST once. Maybe this is just a serious pet peeve of mine, who knows... Okay, enough griping about this. I do truly love this site. I would and have recommended it to everyone I know! That is another plus, recommending something you love to someone else and if you can convince them, you also make money!! Please be sure to let me know if you find ANY spelling, punctuation or any kind of errors in ANY of my reviews!! I will greatly appreciate it, not condemn you for it!!  |
