This is a good quality scanner.Lasts for quite awhile if treated right.You can use it to scan pictures,including color,and allows you to enlarge or modify them if neccessary.You can also scan documents which is great for teachers who like to find things on the internet and print out one copy and then make many copies in the school building.Another great feature is if you put in your negatives from a film and have the right software you can have the pictures on your computer and send them through email or print only the ones you choose so you can save money from going to the local photo place.A good buy,and if it's too bulky or heavy you can look into many other Acer models with the same features.
