| Themaestro's Full Review: HP Pavilion 6540C |
This past fall, I purchased an HP 6540C computer. I did so because I am a college student, and I needed a new computer to replace my Macintosh laptop that was about three years old. I think this is a great computer for students and most people in general because it has just about everything a user who wants the basics (word processing, e-mail, Internet access) would need. It has 466 MHZ, which is fast enough for me, and thus, it should be fast enough for most other people as well. In addition, there is also a burner included along with a very good CD creation program. I chose this product over the Dell brands basically because of the price. Dell was much more expensive, and there was not that much more included. All the software I have installed have worked great with this product, including Office 2000, which you don't really need, but its nice to have anyway. There is also an extra slot available, should I want to add another CD-ROM slot. There is also a 10.2 GB hard drive, which means plenty of memory. All in all, a great computer for the average user.
