Recently I got a new computer and figured that it isn't wimpy, so why should the mouse be? Of course the system came with a mouse, but it was funny lookin' and had no scroll button, so it was off to the store for me. The store had many choices, prices ranging from $2 to $70. Why anyone would possibly want to spend $70 for a mouse is beyond me, so I looked at the cheapies that had a scroll button.
I picked up many mice, looked at the back, and put them back down. None of them were quite what I was looking for. Looking around, I saw a "Falling Prices" tag underneath the box for the Microsoft Wheel Mouse. It was on sale for $20 that day because of some sale, so I got it.
After looking it over a couple times when I got home, I plugged it in to the computer. Hmmm...I need to install some software. After practically tearing open the box, there was the diskette. I popped it into the computer, clicked "OK", and it then installed itself. It seemed to work perfectly, and I liked it. After about 3 months, it still works great.
If you are an internet junkie, and are at webpages 24/7, this mouse is for you. With the wheel, you can scroll websites with great ease. If you click the scroll button while on the page, you can make it scroll automatically at any speed. With a price like $20, there is no way you can go wrong with this mouse.
On the other hand, if you must have the cutting edge in technology, then you'll probably want the optical mouse. Although the optical mice are cool looking with a slight bit increase in performance, the wheel mouse is just as good.
