Takes a lot longer than a standard b/w laser printer to warm up (calibration and warm up takes approx 5 minutes). Just remember to set the energy save time-out to something long, so you don't have to keep waiting for a warm up. Aside from that it's a great printer. Color printouts look awesome. Very consistent. I've heard that some color printers have different qualities of output depending on if a printout was first or last of a set (latter printouts come out better because the printer is "warmer")... I've had no problems with that here.
At first I thought that the price of consumables was pretty high ($100 bucks per cartridge x 4 cartridges plus image drum every 6000 pages) but so far we've printed over 6000 pages at a decent coverage and still haven't had to change the cartridge. Warning though, they just raised their prices per cartridge 15 bucks.
We have the 4500N, with the network card built in. Fairly easy to set up, even for a novice. Their JetDirect config software is fairly intuitive, requiring very little on the users part.
This printer is one of the best I've seen. Awesome output and decent speed (for the price of course).
