Intel Board Provides Big Warranty w/Nice Upgrade Capability
Written: May 23 '00
Pros:Vast Array of Slot 1 Processors to Choose From /ATX Design
Cons:none
The revised model of this board should be one of the strongest boards this year. Look on your MB for the AA number on the upper edge and it should read 719xxx-xxx or later for it to be the Revised SE440BX-2.
Not only can you install a Pentium II or III Processor in this board, the range is all the way from 233-800mhz !!!
This board accepts 100mhz DIMMS which are priced at about $1.00 per MB. Souping this up with 64-128 is no problems and will show the board's quality.
Also, If you get on-board sound, it can be disabled in the soft BIOS menu if the need for SoundBlaster hits you. This board will allow many different types of users to customize it to their needs without sacrificing quality.
At less than $120(white box) with a 3 year warranty you can go wrong.
