Why did I ever pay for Internet service, anyway? Freei.net is just as good as using a service you pay for. I always connect the first time and in quicker time. There is a couple minutes' wait while the adbar loads, but they provide a cool video in this time of Seattle Mariner #34 going through his baseball pitch. It's got sound, too. When the adbar is loaded, you can click to just see the floater which is less than half the size and which is not intrusive. In fact many, many times it performs an illegal operation and shuts down so I don't even have it on my screen. I go on with what I'm doing all for free.
The download is easy (no asking for your credit card number) and supposedly for Macs, too. I don't know if Tim is using it with his Mac, but he hasn't complained about it. I would advise you Mac users to go ahead and try it. Their home page is attractive and quite functional like MSN's home page. They have their own instant messaging service, of course, but I didn't try it. I didn't sign up and it doesn't pop up anymore. I use ICQ (#18143138) and there was one morning when my connection worked fine, but my IE browser kept shutting down from illegal operations. When I disengaged ICQ, my browser came on fine. Fortunately it only happened that once.
So hey, this is an amazing free ISP. I checked out others like Bluelight and Freewwweb and hated them both. Bluelight had an adbar that sat in place at the bottom of the screen so I could not scroll down or move it. It never had illegal operations, either, and was very annoying. Freewwweb had limited hours. Forget that. Freei.net is unlimited usage as well. I hope you'll stop paying for your Internet service like I did. I only wish I'd done it sooner!
