When I was looking for anti-virus software I first tried out McAffe anti-virus. The odd thing is that everytime I installed it my computer would crash and I was forced to format my hardrive. People said it was most likely I had a virus in my computer but I did not listen to them. So I found a free virus scanner and this one works great. It installed easily and is customizable to my needs. First I hate the stupid floppy disk scan before shut down because I never boot my computer off a floppy (unless I'm using Linux). Also you can get rid of scanning in backround, run in taskbar and pratically everything to make it almost completly unusable. Why would I do this? Because the only thing that I get viruses from are the internet so I have my download manager automatically scan the file after I download something (I use gozilla check my epinion..http://www.epinions.com/cmd-review-2DEC-19D1B30-385A7FC4-prod1). Updated is easy just run Autodownload and it checks for a update and installs the patch. So far I had absolutly no problems everything works perfect for me. I love this program, it is great that it's free and ad-free.
