| ebaycadillac's Full Review: Dell Dimension XPS B800 |
This machine is great due to a couple of reasons. Firstly, it runs (the one we had, at least) Windows NT 4.0 with impressive performance. Also, it comes with a 8x4x32x CD-RW drive and an Iomega Zip 100 drive. Internal cards include a modem (56K), network card, and a Celestica Nvidia GeForce 256 graphics card with 32 MB of RAM. This machine even uses high-speed (expensive) RDRAM.
There are a couple down points…. This unit tends to be pricey. Also I've heard of insufficient documentation being included with Dell computers (not necessarily this one).
The actual case is a midsize tower, with three open drive bays… plenty of expansion room. Also, tech support for Dell is legendary.... right now, it's 24/7, toll-free.
Please note that I work for a local computer store… all of my desktop opinions are based upon what I experienced when using our products and those of my associates.
