I've been using this program for a number of years through a number of revisions. I've got over 8000 individuals in my database and it's working like a charm! The core application is awesome. It has a well designed user interface, all the fields you could ever need, and great ways to review and move around your data. As many of the other opinions listed here will tell you, it's a great program.

I would like to caution you, however, about the extras that are marketed along with this product. You'll be offered CDs, web services, publishing deals, and all kinds of other genealogy products. Be careful to buy what you need and compare for value with other resources. On the web, three are many sites offering products and services similar to those packaged with FTM and the wise shopper will scout the options before buying!
