I wouldn't but it again

Pros:Price, fast, glide+opengl
Cons:16mb, its gets oven hot, horrible tech support
Now if your looking for a new video card then I would not suggest the voodoo 3 card. The reason for this is because the card has some major problems.
1) The card tends to overheat big time. I could probably cook an egg on that sucker. 3dfx says it doesn't need any cooling devices, but you better have good airflow or you'll crash in the middle of fragging somebody
2)Horrid tech support. I wrote an email about a configuring my settings for the card and never gotten a response. 1..2...3 weeks went by and nothing! I even sent 3 or 4 times with no luck. My best bet is to go the 3dfx message boards and see if your buds can help you out. www.3dfxgamers.com
3)16mb. Do i have to say more? The majority of the cards have 32mb and you don't need 16mb if your going to invest in the future of gaming.
Another thing I like to mention is that if you go to the 3dfxgamers message board under voodoo 3 support you'll will notice a list of problems from customers. I will guess at least 10-20 people post a problem each day. So you can see the card has its problems.
Ok here's the good about the card.
1)The price. If you are on a tight budget I would suggest you get this card, but you should save up for a geforce or next-generation cards
2)Glide and OpenGL. Unreal Tournament and Team Fortress two games I play alot seems to like it.
3)Compatibility- This card seems to be very compatible with p2, p3's and amd. EX: I heard geforce cards don't like AMD that much so if you have a amd chip I will go with voodoo.
The future of this company doesn't look great in my opinion. Nvida seems to be more original these days leaving the kings of cards scared.
