| Joo's Full Review: Sony Spressa CD-RW (4X/2X/24X) |
I would love to make my own music CDs, movies, copies, and backups. That day has reached this era! The Sony Spressa CD-RW (4X/2X/24X) is user friendly. With programs such as “Easy CD Creator 4.0” (adaptec.com) recording your own CDs is a breeze. The only problem I see with The Sony Spressa is the problem with all IDE CD-R’s. IDE takes up a lot of CPU no mater what computer you have. You can’t run your computer normally, and you have to make sure you don’t run CPU guzzlers such as games and big applications. However SCSI Drives, take little of your own CPU, in every SCSI card it runs its procedures there, which send a lightened load to your computer. Unless you need to be on the computer when your burning CDs, I recommend IDE CD-R and CD-RW (recordable, rewriteable). But if you’re more of an intense computer user, SCSI is a good choice. The Sony Spressa comes with a good warranty. Coming for Sony it’s a name you can always trust. That means, it wont break, wear down, or malfunction easily. This is one of the best CD-RWs in its speed class. And it’s good enough for me. =O)
