Pros: linux.. penguins're ... cute.
Cons: HORRIBLE! won't find hard drives, won't run on some systems, won't even install on some... horrid documentation. BAD support.

Debain is the worst, I mean WORST distribution of Linux I have ever run.
I've run Corel. Not bad, but not good.
I've run SuSE. I liked it. It was nice. Also, it was different in many ways. That was a good OS. I liked the compatability, and I sure liked that stuff it came with.
TurboLinux. That was a pain. It was decent.
Slackware. Slack was... decent. I loved it, after about two days of constant config changes...
and THEN... there's Debian. I walk into hastings, and I says, "Hey, gimmie Debian linux" and the guy says to me, "Um, ok"... punk kid.
I get it home, and the FIRST thing I note is that the documentation is HORRID. Hardly ANYTHING on instalition, and hardly anything upon config. I figured, "Oh, well. Thing fell out of the box, 'r somethin'".
Sure enough, I throw it in, and it's the FIRST distribion that DIDN'T Detect my hard drive. I run an IBM Deskstar thirty giger, and It didn't see it. Not just the partition I wanted it on. IT DIDN'T RECOGNIZE THE HARD DRIVE.
All in all, after five hours of constant bickering with the monitor, which the neighbors called the police promptly thereafter, I noted that I hated Debian, and sold it to a kid down the street for a coster.
please, don't run DEBIAN!
