InoculateIT has was free to the public from June of 1999 until June of 2001. They were recently bought out by Computer Associates which also owns Mcafee. Their new anti-virus program called EZ Trust EZ Anti-Virus is exactly the same as InoculateIT. They have let the makers of InoculateIT to continue making their anti-virus program like that of InoculateIT without changing it over to something like Mcafee Anti-virus software programs. They still allow you free unlimited weekly updates for the virus signatures & you can purchase yearly updates for the program itself at minimal cost. If you were a user of InculateIT they allow you to purchase the new EZ Trust EZ Anti-virus program for $3.95 for the year otherwise you are charged the $19.95 which is for new customers. I used to use Mcafee's Anti-Virus and Norton Anti-Virus and found them to be conflicting with a lot of other Windows programs I was running. Use InoculateIT and it didn't conflict with anything and uses less system resources in Windows than Norton Anti-Virus or Mcafee Anti-Virus. It is also free and they usually have virus signature updates about 3 times a week. It is about a 3 MB download and the autodownload feature for updates makes it a snap for getting the latest virus signature updates. It is easy to install and understand how to use as well. The scanning engine on it is very thorough and faster than that of Norton Anti-Virus or Mcafee Anti-Virus. You get lifetime virus signature updates as well as free program updates too for life. I rate it among the best off all the anti-virus programs that I have used.
