In this computer generation of free-bees from the Internet we take a lot of things for granted. I'm not really thankful enough for Democracy, and I take my freedom of speech for granted too. However, www.hotmail.com is a free e-mail service that I can appreciate. It's free! Yes, Microsoft is probably previewing all of my e-mails, and I have to look at ads, but guess what people...YOU DIDN'T PAY ANYTHING FOR IT!
How can people complain about a free service? Your taxes are only paying to help break up Microsoft which will reduce the benefits of free services like www.hotmail.com. But, until then we will take hotmail for granted and berate its few or many faults. Yes, sometimes it is a bit slow, as are all things in the internet. I have had one problem with mail not being accepted correctly. These seem miniscule when utilizing a free service.
I have gotten junk mail in my hotmail account. How frustrating! Oh wait, how do I stop that...I could stop putting my e-mail address into random site questionnaires. I have also been very successful just blocking the e-mail addresses who send me junk mail. These are my two suggestions for you if you are getting junk mail at any e-mail account. Don't fill out forms providing your e-mail address and block the e-mail addresses of junk mail that you do receive. You will see a dramatic decrease in your spam mail.
Is MSN providing us with some sort of utopia with free e-mail? No. It isn't perfect. Live with it. Or work against it. Your e-mail address will be sold. Don't cry, get back.
