Don't Waste Your Money

If your looking to purchase a first time computer or a 2nd computer for your home for the kids to use I wouldn't recommend buying an EMachines computer. There are plenty of other brands of computers out there that our better than these EMachines.
I purchased an EMachine 466 MHZ computer last year. Haven't even had it a year & I have already had too many problems with it. First time the power supply went bad after 3 months of use. After using the computer 2 months after getting it back from EMachines with the new power supply the sound chip on it died. So, had to go out & buy a sound card for my computer since the sound chip built onto the motherboard died. Lastly I go to turn on my computer in July & I get no video. Turns out the video card built onto the mother board died. I contacted EMachines, but my 1 year warranty was already up. So, they were no help at all!!
When you buy cheap personal computers like an EMachine they usually buy the bottom end line motherboards & power supplies. So, if you ask me your better off throwing in a few hundred dollars more up front when you buy a computer since then you'll end up getting a better computer with a better motherboard & hopefully the sounds & video cards are by themselves. This way if the sound card or the video card goes you can replace them without having to replace the entire computer.
I highly suggest when buying a computer you don't by an EMachine with the experiences I have encountered with them within a year time of owning one.
