i got this laptop about 10 months ago, and i havent really had many problems with it. after about 5 months of hard use, some of the keys start to fall off. they can be replaced by yourself, or you can take them to the dell store, where they will do it for free. however, if you lose the keys, then they will either have to order them from the factory, or sometimes they even make you ship they laptop out. which needless to say, is annoying. the other problem is not the laptop's fault, but is yet another problem with windows 98. sometimes even if you execute the shutdown sequence properly, the computer will freeze at the shut down screen. if you don't catch this, then the computer will overheat and drain its battery.
the body of the laptop is a little flimsy- but not to bad, just don't drop it. the hinge that holds the keyboard to the screen is not very well designed, i have seen many laptops where the joint between those to pieces sometimes falls off, making the keyboard and the screen fall off also.
all in all, it isnt a bad laptop if you arent to rough with it.
