Firetalk is an application that was I have grown to love since my Dad, who is located in Louisiana, recommended I install and test out. Unfortunately, like most people that work in the Information Tech. field, I am referred to as the PC expert in our family. So I downloaded the program and installed it.
This install and download was fairly simple. I thought the setup would be tough, but to my surprise, there was a wizard that not only walked you through it, but also explained exactly what was going to happen along the way. This wizard setup the sound, proper mic volume, and connection in less than five minutes with little required thinking on my part.
I logged into the firetalk server and was surprised at the volume of people on there. I signed up at a point that, according to the web site, firetalk was less than a month old. There were a few growing pains over the last few months, however, the staff at firetalk is always updated so a stop in any of the support forums will solve most issues you have. They are constantly updating their software to allow for better reception and transmission.
These guys get a big Way To Go from me
