When I first saw a website designed with Flash, I was extremely impressed. I was saying to myself...I HAVE to learn this new technology!! I searched around and tested the program out, and found it a little tricky to use. Without any formal training in it, just fumbling around with the controls, menus, etc...I saw the great potential that this program offered. This is definitely a new wave of Internet development.

Being able to load fast, great looking pages is every internet developers dream. With HTML and JavaScript, this was difficult to achieve. Sure there were ways around it, but mostly you would have to sacrifice something whether it be graphical quality, or performance, something had to give. Macromedia has always been on the cutting edge of internet technology with its Shockwave capabilites. They have evolved even greater with Flash 4 and make it easy for just about anyone with a brain to create attractive, fast loading, user friendly websites.

I still havent had the time to really appreciate all that Flash 4 has to offer. I would recommend buying a detailed user manual to help you get started, just to save time. I plan on it, and I plan on making great sites that anyone can enjoy.
