I love Napster, I don't think there are many people who don't.
I downloaded CONVOY, do any of you know that song, I had not heard it from the time I was about 6 years old...and Battle OF New Orleans?? Do you remember them???
Wow, was all I could say when all these songs came flowing to my computer after one night of finally deciding to look at this controversial page.
I sat there for hours and downloaded over 250 songs in two days!
It was great,new songs old songs and even joke audio tracks that you only ever hear from the friends who sends you all the good emails!!
I loved it so much I forgot why people hated it sooo much. I mean you can have any song you want what could be bad about that.
But then again I can never see myself buying another cd again, I mean I can have every song I ever want downloaded right to my pc, and then record it on to my own cd and have a mix of songs that is unique to my own tastes. How many CD's do you have that have Patsy Kline and Three Doors Down on it at the same time???
I feel guilty that the artists that I truly do support are rarely seeing royalties from me, because of this great/horrible service.
I can't help but want to be apart of the napster community, I mean how much better can it get.
But I hate that I am failing the artist that worked so hard to produce, write and perform some of my all time favorite songs ever.
I lvoe Napster and I know you would too if you went there, I just hope if one day they decide to charge five bucks a month for everyone downloading, that you, like I will, to help support those artists~
I try not to download Metallica, I have every CD they have made, so they have made their money off of me, but I apologize to other artists who I have recorded from without purchasing.
Enjoy it while it lasts I guess...it may not be there for long!
The only argument I have, is if I record it from the radio, or a friend's cd what is the difference????
