Power User's Advice On Emachines! MUST READ!Oct 04 '00 Write an essay on this topic.When I first heared about Emachines computers from a friend (who didn't know much about computers) I told him that it was probably a piece of junk. I then did a little research and I found out the parts weren't bad at all. So I dived in and purchased an Emachines 333K computer for $399 in Jan. 1999 (AMD K6-2 333 Mhz) & It was the best computer investment I made in a long time. I run this system 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week with a cable modem connected and I haven't had one single problem. The speed is good and I have also put in a CDR drive with no problems. Tell me what you want- emachines have this problem or that problem, but you can only know the quality of this machine once you own it. Just my two sense on the matter, S. Motala  |
