When I was working for Best Buy, we had this on display ... I decided to mess with the buttons to see what kind of force a PC steering wheel could generate ... To my surprise, the wheel shook so hard that it made my hands go numb ... Granted, the one we had in our store was enhanced a little, but not that much
USAGE
. The Force FeedBack option can be disabled so that you use it as a normal steering wheel
. It can be used in almost any racing game ... whether it be cars, pods, or motorcycles
. Sets up by clamping onto a desk or table (Make sure it's on there firmly)
. Has separate gas and brake pedals that lie on the floor to give the feel of driving for real
THE EXPERIENCE
. You simply must use this steering wheel with the Force FeedBack enabled ... it adds so much more fun to the games
. Every time you hit another car, obstacle, or guard rail you'll feel it
. In games like Monster Truck Madness, the wheel shakes from the massive power of the engine
. "Real" turning, instead of pushing a direction on a gamepad ... You actually get to turn the wheel ... This helps because you decide how much the car is going to turn by either slightly turning the wheel or making tight 90 degree turns
. Also, the wheel tightens harder the faster you go ... Just like a real steering wheel would do to give you more traction
GAMES RECOMMENDED FOR
. Need For Speed III
. Need For Speed Porsche Unleashed
. Star Wars: Episode I RACER
. Midtown Madness
. MotoRacer
. Monster Truck Madness
... Though I recommend it for any racing game, it made a significant difference in feel and the fun factor in these games ... It especially helps on Midtown Madness for better control, and the same goes for Episode I RACER
The only thing that could've made this steering wheel better would've been a clutch and a gear shifter ... But how much can you expect right now?, I'm sure those enhancements are on their way ... If you enjoy racing games, or driving in general; I strongly suggest this product for your "Must Buy" list
