I am still a subscriber to AOL, although, I must confess that I probably won't be on AOL much longer.
I have been a member of the service for over three years.
In the past, AOL had a much better web publisher. I wish I could remember the name of it. Of course, it would have been better had they kept it as their preferred publishing tool.
Since then, as a programmer, I decided to go ahead and learn the web languages themselves because they offer more control over the appearance of a web site.
But, I have seen scads of the members' AOL "hometown" pages written with Verio. They look shabby and mediocre.
I can tell you from the complexity of the code on the web pages that Verio produces, that there just isn't much meat in this product.
Sure, it's easy to use. But so is a shovel.
If a person has no other desire than to get something "up there" on the server, then this product will do that.
Just understand that it probably won't inspire you to brag too much about the quality of the page.
