We got the Buddy Phone when my dad discovered it. He was using it to make long distance calls to relatives from out of state. It seemed like as great program so I downloaded it.
Buddy Phone is an easy program to get all you have to have is a microphone and a sound card basically things that normal computers usually have. When you download it you set it up and pick your screen name you want to have. Best of all it is a free program! That sure beats long distance bills.
That is it. You can call people you know or search for people who are online that also have buddy phone it is a great way to meet people and talk to them just like you would talk on the phone. It is simple to use. They have a search for the people who are online and you can call anyone online. Each time you get a call the program automatically opens itself up.
Seems great right? Well yes it is but it does have some problems. Such as when you talk you have feed back something terrible. You can always hear yourself and you can hear what the other person is saying two times. Someone we talked to on buddy phone gave us advice that if we bough a head set microphone it would solve that problem but it did not really help at all.
Another problem I have had with the buddy phone is it seems to be not working a lot. There has been many times that I have tried to use it and it just does not work. So if you want something reliable this is not what you are looking for. Other than that it is an all right program.
