Trust Goes a Long Way!

I can definitely see the need in some cases to have a device that blocks bad sites. I've had experiences with accidentally clicking on porn sites... I know that sounds a little weird, but when you use a search guide, you don't always know what you're going to get.
That's why I didn't mind having a mature adult setting on my aol account. Or, I didn't mind until I tried to research basically anything!
This came around a time when I was reading the crucible, and I had to research witchcraft. Witchcraft seems like a questionable topic to the aol screening thing, so every useful site was blocked.
This happened countless other times. It was especially difficult to find the lyrics to some popular music. An occasional cuss word made the entire site off limits.
However, I still had access to several sights that seemed pretty bad. When trying to find some songs, I found sites that I wished had been blocked!
Eventually, my account was set to adult and I could finish my school work. Basically, you should be able to trust your children enough to not use one of these restrictive programs!
