I've used this machine for about a year. It is a really nice, just open it up and do email machine. With the Polysilicon screen, it really does have great battery life. I use it quite a lot at the Starbucks for the 10 minute email session.
And, the weight is a big factor. Getting under 3 lbs really changed the way that I used the machine quite a bit. With good battery life and light weight, I tend to just suspend the machine and have it run for a 3 hour meeting.
It doesn't have any peripherals essentially tied to it, although there is a USB port. There is a really huge clunky Network adapter bar that is hard to pack and not very elegant. It gets the job done and it is nice that it has an integrated ethernet adaptor in it, so you almost don't need the PCMCIA slot (since there is also a built-in modem).
The main drawback are the that keyboard is not quite full size and at 10" the screen feels small.
On the other hand, it is the only machine that I know which can be put up in an airplane seat and not have the screen scrunched when the passenger in front of you reclines.
It's power management can be flaky and it does hang.
Other advantage is that it is a standard at Microsoft, so that means it runs Windows 2000 like a champ and then the power management stuff really works well vs. the Windows 98 version.
