| guybeck's Full Review: Dell Dimension XPS T800r |
Purchased this computer for small business and home use. It has been incredibly fast and stable. Appreciated Dell's pre-testing of their components to eliminate the problems before arrival at your door. I am able to run several different programs at the same time and do some complex video incorporating into microsoft powerpoint presentations without a hitch.
The Sony Trinitron monitor is excellent and no loud fans or hard drives. The CD-RW drive is quick. I am able to burn a CD in 7 minutes. Upgraded the speakers to harman/kardon with a subwoofer which produces excellent sound. Quality components went into this system.
It was very easy to custom configure what you want on their internet ordering. The only negative is that they pushed back their original shipping date three times.
The DVD player for movies is only ok. The brightness level cannot be adjusted high enough and the audio on a DVD movie also cannot be adjusted loud enough to hear well from 8-10 feet away.
