I just bought this laptop from IBM; I named him Aristotle. So far, he is a good computer. The fast launch buttons come in handy. I thought the S video out for the DVD player would be great, but I have found out that it will cost lots of money to get an adaptor to hook it to my television. Sometimes my computer decides to freeze and starts to make a clicking sound. Also, he does not shut down properly when the Window's 98 "Fast shutdown" feature is selected. However, for the price, and the specs, I think the computer is worth it.
I purchased this product because I am a student. I wanted to have the DVD player for movies and to assure long term use for the future. I saw comparable computers made by Toshiba, but I chose this one because it was slightly more powerful.
