I spent days and days researching my recent purchase of a laptop. My computer guru friend recommended Compaq to me ONLY because of their excellent service turnaround time guarantee. That was simply not enough for me. I was seeing the Compaq's purchased in my office and they were going back for service very often, or breaking and having to be replaced. One girl is on her 4th....
I scoped out all the reviews and Dell was a consistent B... Compaq was a D. I could not in good faith spent ANY money on a Compaq.
I bought a loaded Dell with 128 ram, 750 processor, 10 gig harddrive. I also bought the 3 year on site warranty! that in itself is worth a lot for me!
After reading and researching, the facts were in black and white. Dell's consistent good ratings on product and customer service are what made me buy a Dell.
I know that I might have paid a little more, but it's worth it to me. Dell's ratings prove it!
