| pamedsoc's Full Review: Dell Dimension XPS T600 |
The Dell Dimension XPS T600 is a great computer! My company has standardized with Dell PCs. I work in the IS dept of my company and am responsible for supporting any computer-related problems. Almost every Dell we have has worked flawlessly, and if any problems arose, Dell's 24 hour tech support has been very helpful and has responded quickly. I upgraded from a Dell 350 (which I thought was fast) to this 600 and... WOW! this computer smokes! The computer comes preinstalled with all the software and takes just minutes to get it up and running the first time.
It has an easy-access cover which makes adding or removing components a snap. Upgrading the computer doesn't require proprietary parts. One of the best benefits that come with a Dell is the support you can get online. From Dell's web site, you can download all the latest drivers and other updates specifically for your PC. I had a problem with the computer shutting down, but it was easily fixed by downloading a Windows 98 update from Microsoft. Dell isn't the least expensive computer out there, but I think it's the best value for your dollar. I've used other top names like Gateway, Compaq, and IBM, but Dell is my choice.
