UPDATE! November 29, 2000
I no longer recommend GoIWin. After using it for a few weeks, it started giving me problems.
First I started having problems connecting. The service would tell me that my user name and password were invalid. I would try and sign on about 15 times while this happened. Finally, out of the blue it would connect me using the same user name and password it was previously telling me was invalid.
Once connected I would get full page ad banners about every 3 minutes. Over and over again! How rude!
Being disconnected after having spend so much time trying to get connected was the last straw. I finally gave up and switched ISP's. Now I hear that GoIWin is no longer in business. What once was a reliable and free ISP is now in ISP heaven.
End of update

I spend a lot of time on the internet. I host a web site for pregnancy loss support (www.bornangels.com), and my home-based business requires me to spend a lot of time on the internet. I don't want to pay for my internet connection when I can get connected for free.
I've tried NetZero (worst), Freei (not bad, but gave me some connection problems after a couple of months), Worldshare (see my review of Worldshare), and now I'm trying goiwin.
I've been a member of goiwin for one week now, and so far I haven't had any problems. The initial download took me less than five minutes, and membership set-up also took me less than five minutes. They do not ask personal questions or expect a credit card number.
Connection is fast (I connect at 56K) and reliable. I haven't encountered one busy signal yet, and I've only been disconnected twice. There is an ad banner across the screen with goiwin, however, it's not that large, and it can be docked at the top or bottom of the screen.
Once a member, you can sign up for icoins. With icoins, you play games and take polls to win points toward entering into different kinds of drawings, contests, etc. (I used some of my icoins to enter into a drawing for free carpeting for my new house). I haven't spent a lot of time with icoins as of yet, so I don't know the full extent of what it offers.
I'm also a member of AOL. With Netzero I had so much trouble getting connected to my AOL account via Netzero. I have no trouble with goiwin. Once I'm signed onto goiwin, I then sign on to AOL and I'm connected within seconds.
I highly recommend goiwin if you want a reliable and free internet service provider.
