I got this printer free with a Dell purchase. I had no intention of going out and purchasing it. I have to say that I am rather glad that it was free, because if I had paid any money for it at all I would probably be really disappointed. The thing takes forever to begin printing, makes so much noise that you may think that it is going to die on you, and generally is a pain in the butt. It was rather difficult to setup, even for a techie like myself. I could not get the thing to print, no matter what I did. I left it plugged in, and a few days later, it decided to just start working. Strange.
The print quality is only O.K., nothing more. It does the job, not quickly, but eventually it finishes. It is a good backup printer, but I would not use it for any kind of day-to-day printing.
I have not had to replace the ink cartridges yet, although it will be a while until I have to as I don't use the printer very often.
If you are looking for a cheap color printer and you don't want to spend a lot of money, this one is for you. If you want to spend another $30 on an Epson or something else, it will be a worthwhile upgrade.
