Tiberian Sun is a fun game. It isn't however as groundbreaking as one may have expected from Westwood studios.
I've played a number of competitors games, including Warcraft and Starcraft. I hadn't played any of the Command & Conquer games previously though. I haven't made it all the way through the game yet, but it has been somewhat frustrating so far. A number of the levels so far have concentrated on simple mission solving, moving various units around the map, eliminating the enemy. Many levels though have left out the more enjoyable parts such as building new units. Somewhat disappointing.
The graphics aren't anything special. The humanoid units look almost comical as they run around on the various terrain features. Starcraft's units look much better in comparison.
The game is easy to learn as I've only skimmed the manuals to see what units are available.
Overall, the game likely won't disappoint if you're a fan of this genre. However, if you're looking for new ground-breaking areas, I'd wait for Dark Reign 2 which will be in total 3D (or the new game set in the Star Wars universe).
