This pack is a must-have for any WinCE owner who finds him/herself wishing for more high quality games to pass the time in class, meetings, etc. :-)

Unlike many Windows CE products, the MEP is easy to install and functions relatively bug-free on the full range of Windows CE P/PC and H/PC devices.

Version 2.0 of Microsoft's Entertainment Pack (MEP) contains 10 classic games for Windows CE.

The pack includes:

+ Blackjack
+ Chess
+ FreeCell
+ Minesweeper
+ Space Defense (a "Missile Command" clone)
+ Taipei (a tile-matching "Mah Jongg" clone)
+ CodeBreaker (for H/PC only)
+ CINCO (word guessing game for P/PC only)

Infrared Games, which you can play against a player using another WindowsCE device include:
+ Hearts
+ Sink the ships (a "Battleship" knockoff)
+ Reversi (aka "Othello")

In case you're wondering, the H/PC devices are those which have a keyboard (like the IBM Workpad z50) and the P/PC devices are those without (Philips Nino, Casio Cassiopeia, HP Jornada 4xx, Compaq Aero 15xx, and others)

My only complaint is that Minesweeper didn't install properly on my HP Jornada 430 nor on my friend's Nino 510, but I'm sure there's a patch that I've been to lazy to find.

I'm a particular fan of Taipei and Cinco-- these fun puzzle games relieve my boredom as I wait for the subway, in the lunch lines, in class, and so on. :-)

You can pick up the pack for about $25 at Buy.com or Beyond.com (check for discount coupons at www.gotapex.com/deals). The price may seem a tad steep, but the pack is well worth it-- the games are high quality, and you're playing them on a $300-$500 geek-gadget anyway. ;-)
