| rikkigirl's Full Review: IBM PC Camera Webcam |
The only reason I got this camera was because it was free after rebate, so I can't really complain. But it did help me with some e-selling on eBay. Since I don't own a digicam, I used this to take pictures of products I was selling and, well, it did it's job and got the items sold. Couldn't ask for more right? (considering it's price)
This cam is a plug and play USB type, real easy to setup. It came with software to broadcast over the internet, which I thought was a pretty fun idea so I set it up to show my friends. It has snapshot and audio/video clip capabilities. All can be sent through email or just filed away in an album. It's easily mounted on the PC but the sticky patch they give you isn't too strong so I had to use a piece of scotch tape to keep it on my PC. No big deal to me, but for people who care what their systems look like, this might peeve you.
The picture quality isn't great at all, so teleconferencing is not recommended. It would turn out to be one big blur. The capture time is pretty slow so invest in a more expensive cam if you're looking for real time transfer.
I have a lot of fun with this camera since I don't use it for anything important. I basically use it to look like a fool for my friends so if that's what you want, then this is your camera.
