This has to be the best damn sound card around, the sound quality is great and the A3D is the best i have heard. Also, I use this card in my SMP box in linux and it works just fine, so that should dispell the myths that it is not compatible with linux. Just because sndconfig doesnt have vortex2 support does not mean that it wont work. If you are a serious gamer or someone wanting a clean sounding card for a home stereo setup, this is the way to go. hmmm 100 words...who care...this is boring why the hell do i have to write 100 words, uhh Linux rules, Windows sucks. I have been able to configure every device i own to run in linux better than windows (rio500, usb mouse, usb camera, cdrw, dvd...etc etc etc...is that 100? bah
