Lackluster Service

Although Gateway has superb products, they are in dire need of improvement in their customer service department. When I encountered a problem with my CD ROM, I phoned the 1 800 # just to spend 20 minutes of my time getting nowhere. That is one thing you should always take into consideration when you buy any product: how will the after purchase service be? i did not think about this at the time. However, if there is a local Gateway Country near you...I suggest that you take the time to visit them in person. They are more willing to help you than the over-the-phone agents. I tend to do this if i encounter problems, but I have very few. Just know that you will be wasting your time trying to deal with this on the phone.
