| jamala's Full Review: Dell Inspiron 3500 A366GT |
Making my way to write this epinion I noticed that quite a few of the reviews mentioned that they had received qutie a bit of reliability out of their Inspiron 3500. The Inspiron 3500 has put all of my reservations about not using a desktop to rest. The screen has great quality (although it makes the colors on our site look a little off), and the keyboard is very roomy. The plug-and-play use of the mouse makes it easy to overcome the annoying mousepad. The battery usually lasts about and hour and a half when I'm at home, and that's after being plugged in for most of the day. So, don't plan on taking it away from a power source for too long.
I stopped using my original 200 mhz Dell, which I had used for the past 4 years. It was one of the first out of Dell's doors, and the only problem I had in the 4 years was a bad set of speakers.
I've now had my Inspiron for only a month and have already had the hard-drive fry on me, and just had the keyboard replaced today (it randomly froze and stopped working yesterday).
Let's put it this way, I'm a 21 year old founder of an Internet start-up for college students, and I use my laptop. My machine gets about 14 hours of intense use a day, and I'm not the most friendly with it. It comes with me throughout the day, and I treat its holding case like a high school backpack. So, that may explain the technical problems I'm running into, but perhaps that's something you may want to consider.
But, as always, Dell's tech support is awesome, and if they sense you are going to start getting bitter, they will usually have someone to your doorstep the following day. I've never had better customer service. Dell is unbeatable.
