It's April 17th, have you done your taxes? I hope you have, but if you haven't, rush out to the nearest Walmart, Kmart, whatever, and get yourself Turbotax (and don't forget the state version!). Then look at your W-4s and just type at the prompts. It's really that easy.

It asks you the questions it needs to know in very simplistic terms. Then it puts all that info you give it, and writes out your 1040. It'll put it in the computer form that the IRS prefers, even. This will speed up your returns. Of course, if you're like me, you don't get money back, but that's just me not taking out enough deductions to cover my taxable stock dividends (sigh).

Granted, I'm not married and I don't own property, but I finished my taxes in a half hour this year. I doubt I could have done it that quickly without the Turbotax program.
