| jmm1021's Full Review: Dell Dimension XPS T800r |
90 days ago I embarked on replacing my Compaq Presario system with a beefier model. I wanted dependability, file back-up capabilities, long product life and customer service I could depend on; I was also looking for some extras that would make my online life more enjoyable. I had always steered clear of Dell systems for the price differentials I had seen, but remembering the old adage "you get what you pay for" and thinking of the three Compaq or IBM systems I had over the past 10 years, I gave Dell a try.
The Dell Dimensions XPS T800r is a self styled computer system with a large menu of options available. I selected the 20GB hard-drive, DVD, CD-R/RW. It has an 800MHz processor standard and adequate video processing capability for any games I play on or off line. The Autac surround sound system I added also make DVD viewing like a "home-office theater.
The connectivity of the XPS T800r was seamless. I added a HP Deskjet 952C and a Visioneer 8100 scanner without any hitches. Adding my Palm and Motorola Airpager Synch cradles also went effortlessly.
The speed of the system and the flawless operation I have encountered make this system highly preferred for someone running an office or small-business from home. The financing available through Dell Direct also makes this design of a "beefed up" system more accessible for home office users. This is a winner on all fronts.
