Why pay more for a good domain name registrar?
Written: Oct 14 '00
Pros:$15/year, programs, easy registration process, good customer service
Cons:website a bit confusing (not during registration)
If you're looking to register a domain name and want to save the common fees $30-$35/year or $70/two years, then please head on to Dotster.com. It took me a while to make up my mind since there are so many domain registrars out there. Luckily, I found Dotster. They only charge $15/year. There are no hidden fees. They are ICANN accredited and the registration process is quite easy.
Dotster also offers the following programs:
dotAffliate
dotPartner
Bulk Registration
Futurehome Page (to park your domain name)
dotPartner Plus
Long-term Pricing
And they offer registration for the new .tv and .ws names.
Though I found their website to be a bit confusing sometimes (but not during registration), I haven't had any problems with my registration and their service thus far. When contacting their customer service, they were fairly quick and helpful.
I recommend Dotster as your domain registrar.
