| phogen's Full Review: Abit BX6 2 |
I actually bought this motherboard when it very first came out. I ran a celeron 300A on it and 450mhz. This is one of the motherboards that brought overclocking to the mainstream. With older motherboards, to overclock your processor you would have to change small dipswitches right on the motherboard itself. This worked, but was annoying and time consuming. Abit then introduced what they call SoftMenu. This enables you to change all your settings right in the bios itself. This made overclocking your processor extremely easy.
The Abit bx6 rev2 is one of the most timeless motherboards out there. Many people still use this board. It even accepts the new Intel Pentium III's with an adapter that Abit makes. This motherboard is already a classic and is sure not to disappoint you!
