I have just recently been using a cable modem from sigecom. It has been the best move I have made since I bought my computer almost 2 yrs ago.
The speed is amazing and you never have to wait more that a couple of minutes to download to your hard drive. I extremley recommend anyone using dial up to purchase a cable modem, it is well worth the money.
The best part about it is that you will never miss that important phone call because you are on the computer. With a cable modem you can talk on the phone and be on the computer at the same time. You can save money by not installing a separate phone line.
Never again will you have to put in your password and wait for the dial up to get you connected because you are always connected to the internet.
If you have ever had any doubt about spending the money on the modem I suggest that you run out and buy one immediately.
