This Motorola Chipset modem is very cheap and efficient. I myself had bought it on sale for under 10 dollars and for the price its a great modem. The connection is quick and the installation was flawless. I've actually used two modems of Hawking Tech. The other was the far best modem i've ever bought, almost the same in reliability as my first USR modem. The other was a lucent chipset which gave me faster downloads, the installation was the same. Though at times they lag and easily interrupted (if line is used for phonecalls). The modem is plug and play and is for the PCI slot which is 32 bit which causes faster transfer than the conventional modem. It comes with modem drivers, 7ft phone cable, and a one page installation guide which lacks troubleshooting.
