HomeComputers & InternetPC DesktopsWhat Should I Know About Cybermax Desktops in General?

WARNING!!! NO SUPPORT IS AVAILABLE

Oct 21 '00

Don't buy a computer with the name "Cybermax" on it. The parent company, Fountain Technologies, has made Cybermax file for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy.

There are NO support technicians anymore to take calls (they all just got laid off without any notice), so you will not get any help with your system. If you're out of warranty, or under an extended warranty, you're in luck, but if your system is in warranty under Cybermax, you will not be able to activate it.

Besides this, I also know that in Cybermax computers, are cheap parts. These parts are not as reliable as some of the others (wich would have cost just as much), and tend to break down sooner.

For example: most of the motherboards (the main board in a PC) are made by a company, Biostar. Biostar is known for cheap boards, to be sold in quantity, not quality.

If you see a Cybermax computer being sold in a store, don't buy it. Its not worth your money. There are many better choices out there.

I enjoy checking out new "toys". Especially in the computer and electronics fields.
