Pros: Really inexpensive. Good to replace older cards.
Cons: no 3d sound. Bad quality.

| arundip's Full Review: Creative Sound Blaster PCI128 |
This soundcard was on my must-have list a few months ago. I was on a huge budgetcut, but I was looking for a quality card. I saw all the good reviews for the PCI128, so I bought one of these cheap Soundblaster cards. BIG MISTAKE!
This card has 16-bit quality, and the sounds coming out of it had a really cheap quality level. It doesn't even support enviromental audio!
I found no difference in this card to my 3 year old Soundblaster Clone.
If you are on a tight budget, get the Soundblaster Live! Value card. It is much better and supports enviromental audio. You can get the Live Value for about $20 more than the PCI128. (see my review of the Live!Value)
To finish off, if you want to touch up an old PC and replace a cheap 4-bit beeper, get this card. However, if you are looking for pure quality in Games, mp3's, and multimedia, and if you are on a tight budget, get the Live! Value instead.
