This mainboard is wonderful overall. It boasts a whopping five USB ports (with correct drivers), two onboard ATA-100 IDE controllers, and supports Socket A (Thunderbird and Duron) chips up to 1 Ghz with the current BIOS. Also, if you are lucky enough to get one of the motherboards with an extra dipswitch, you can change the clock frequency multiplier with it (provided that your processor is not multiplier locked).
There are a few small problems though:
Due to incomplete support for the VIA chipset in windows 2000, some AGP-enabled programs may tend to lock the computer seemingly at random (this is more of a microsoft problem than a problem with the motherboard)...
Futhermore, if your power supply is relativly weak (<250w) and you are using non name-brand RAM, you may have to run PC133 CAS-2 ram at 100 MHZ due to corruption as a result of insufficient power.
Also, due to bad timing on the AGP strobe line (this is more a VIA problem than an ASUS one, but affects the mainboard nontheless) you may be unable to run your nVidia-based video card in 4X-AGP mode. In conclusion, if you are not a major hardware tweaker, this is the board for you!
