Pros: Bit nicer graphics on PS than on SNES...a great game to play
Cons: Load times are ridiculous. I can cook dinner in that amount of time.

| LockeCole's Full Review: Ogre Battle Limited Edition The March of the Black... |
Ogre Battle, for the Sony Playstation, if you have plenty of time, is a great game. It's nothing more than a slightly enhanced version of the Super Nintendo title (graphics a bit nicer, albeit not much; and a couple more musical scores that I never noticed). Aside from these slight additions, the game is exactly the same as the SNES version. I never did buy the SNES version, and I always liked the game (rented it a few times), so I felt it would be a good purchase. WRONG. I still love the game. This game made it obvious to me why Nintendo stayed with the cartridge format when they created the N64. LOAD TIMES. In Ogre Battle, you fight a LOT of battles. I mean, you fight a LOT of battles. OVER and OVER and OVER again, practically non-stop. Between each battle, what is there? A ridiculously long load time (we're talking 20+ seconds). What happens after the battle? You guessed it, another long load time. This made me soo mad, I didn't even finish the 2nd board, and have never played it again. If you don't have the SNES version, and you still want the game, go ahead...perhaps it won't frustrate you quite as bad.
