I can second the experiences others have had with this camera - you get what you pay for. The camera has horrible performance (5 fps or so) under anything other than full bright light, and even then any lighter areas (such as you face) will become completely washed out. The only use might be some kind of a periodic snapshot, when nothing is moving in the picture.

Initially, I thought I might have gotten a bad unit, so when the camera was on sale again for $4.99 (after $20 rebate), I bought another one just to try it out, since there wasn't much to lose. I am sorry to report that the second camera performed in the same way, so it is indeed a design problem.

You might be tempted by the price (they go for $5-$25 with various rebates), but it is $5 too many as far as I am concerned, it is simply unusable.
