I leased this product from Dell directly. After 18 months, while still under the leasing contract, the hard drive died. I contacted them, explained the situation, and told them I would like a replacement immediately. They informed me that they would send a replacement, but that they could not guarantee when it would be sent. I told them that I found that kind of service unsatisfactory, but they said they could not do more than express their regrets. Six weeks later, I received a remanufactured hard drive that was not functional. Finally, after I threatened a law suit, they sent me a new drive. They could have and should have done that in the first place, and they should have done it expeditiously. As a result of my experience with Dell, I told them I would never buy another Dell product, and that I would recommend to everyone that they not buy from Dell either.
